Care for children who have lost parental support is a responsibility the Church cannot ignore. Within Sustain Discipleship, care for these children is approached with seriousness, humility, and long-term commitment, recognizing that stability, safety, and formation are essential for children to grow in health, dignity, and faith.
This work exists not to replace the community, but to support it, ensuring that children are cared for faithfully while long-term sustainability is pursued alongside discipleship and shared responsibility.
Sustain Discipleship is sustained through prayerful partnership. Those who share this conviction may choose to support this work financially, trusting that each effort is governed by Scripture, local leadership, and careful stewardship.
The children supported through Sustain Discipleship is part of the local community and closely connected to the nearby church. This work did not begin as an external initiative, but as a response to an existing need that the community was unable to meet fully on its own.
At present, more than thirty children are being cared for in a rented facility. While this arrangement has allowed the children to remain together and receive consistent care, it also places ongoing strain on the ministry, as the space is dependent on monthly rent and lacks the stability of permanent ownership.
The goal of this work is not indefinite reliance on temporary solutions, but the establishment of a secure, lasting environment where children can be cared for with dignity and safety.

Land has been secured within reasonable distance of the local church for the construction of a permanent children care facility. This location was chosen intentionally, allowing the children to remain connected to the life of the church and broader community.
The vision for this space includes not only housing for the children, but facilities that support their full wellbeing. This includes appropriate sleeping areas, kitchen and dining space, restrooms, medical care areas, and safe spaces for play and learning. Equal care is given to the needs of those who serve, ensuring that workers have appropriate areas for rest, preparation, and care provision.
Safety remains a central priority throughout planning and development, with attention given to both physical security and the wellbeing of every child and worker.
While long-term construction is pursued carefully, the daily needs of the children remain present. These needs include food, clothing, school materials, and access to education, all of which are essential for healthy growth and formation.
Those who care for the children currently do so as volunteers, giving their time and energy faithfully. Sustain Discipleship seeks to ensure that these workers are supported with appropriate tools, rest, and safe conditions, recognizing that faithful care requires sustainability for both the children and those who serve them.
Care for these children is not intended to remain isolated from broader community development. As education, farming, housing, and other efforts strengthen the community over time, support for the orphanage is expected to grow more sustainable locally.
This work is approached patiently, allowing responsibility and capacity to develop gradually rather than forcing immediate independence or indefinite dependence.
The children supported through Sustain Discipleship does not exist to separate children from the community or replace the role of the Church. It is not pursued as an institutional solution, nor is it driven by urgency or emotion.
The focus remains on safety, formation, stability, and long-term faithfulness rather than scale or visibility.
Providing consistent care for children requires endurance. It involves daily attention, repeated effort, and long-term commitment, often without visible milestones. Through this work, Sustain Discipleship seeks to model faithfulness that persists over time, ensuring that children are given a place where they can grow in safety, dignity, and hope.
